Canal+, a French company, has offered to buy South African pay-TV gaint MultiChoice for approximately R31.7 billion ($1.7 billion). Canal+ stated on Thursday that it has made a non-binding indicative offer to MultiChoice’s board to acquire all issued ordinary shares that it does not already own, subject to gaining the relevant regulatory permissions. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspected cult leader whose gang attempted to take over a tricycle (Keke Marwa) park in the Fadeyi region of the state.
