A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Eti-Osa, Lagos, has acquitted Ms. Olufumilayo Eriolowa, a 33-year-old woman who was remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting a police officer, Olufowobi Nureni, in the Ogombo area of Lagos State. Nigerian oil marketers have stated that the pump price of petrol could rise above N700 per litre in the northern region of the country starting from July.
