A Nigerian woman has reportedly lost her life after returning to the country from Canada. It was gathered that the yet-to-be identified woman, who returned to the country healthy, felt ill days later and died at an unnamed hospital. President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ayodeji Ariyo Gbeleyi as the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). His appointment was announced in a press statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on Saturday. President Bola Tinubu has ordered the resignation of Mr. Mamman Ahmadu from office as the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). Dr. Jide Idris, Director General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, blamed the country’s cholera outbreak on poor sanitation, personal and environmental hygiene, and a lack of access to clean water.  Idris, speaking on Channels Television on Saturday, stated that the agency is doing a risk assessment and has notified all states about the outbreak. A Nigerian man has narrated his ordeal at the hands of an operative of the Nigerian police during a stop-and-search operation.
