A pan-Yoruba activist, Aare Kurunmi Kakanfo, has alleged that the Igbos will lead Nigeria into another civil war. The Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, has stated that the distribution of seized food items will commence on Friday. Protesters hijack a trailer loaded with foodstuffs

A protest against rising food costs that began early Thursday apparently became violent after protesters allegedly stole a trailer carrying food along the Suleja-Kaduna road. Asue Ighodalo, a businessman, has been named the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party governorship primary poll, which was held in Benin City, Edo State, on Thursday.
