The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Kaduna Zonal Command has arraigned one Sunday Simon (a.k.a. Ryan Eggold) on October 16, 2023, before Justice A.A. Isiaka of the Kaduna State High Court sitting in Kaduna, for defrauding an American, Garri Kalish, in the sum of $800,000 only. The offence is contrary to Section 1(1)(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offence Act, 2006, and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act. The United Nations (UN) Security Council will now vote on Wednesday on a Brazilian-drafted resolution that calls for humanitarian pauses in the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants Hamas to allow humanitarian aid access to the Gaza Strip.
