The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has filed a lawsuit against the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for its failure to lift the ban on Eedris Abdulkareem’s song ‘Tell Your Papa’, which was allegedly prohibited for criticising President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies. Controversial singer Darlington Okoye, popularly know  as Speed Darlington, has challenged his colleague Badmus Okikiola, also know as Portable to a rematch after losing in their highly publicised celebrity boxing match. The bout, which took place on Friday night, ended in a technical knockout (TKO) victory for Okikiola after Okoye failed to rise in the second round. The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has successfully completed the extradition of Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, known as “Killaboi,” from Doha, Qatar to Nigeria to face murder charges. In a statement by Police spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Nnayereugo who had been on the run for the murder of Miss. Augusta Oseodion Onuwabhagbe, was returned to Nigeria in the early hours of, Saturday. The Home Office has updated its requirements for travellers who are mandated to take English tests as part of their visa applications to the United Kingdom (UK). In a recent statement, the Home Office said the LANGUAGECERT ESOL SELT (secure English language test) 4-skills test will be replaced by the new LANGUAGECERT Academic SELT and LANGUAGECERT General SELT tests. The changes have taken effect from January 1 this year, according to the UK agency. The Nigerian Army (NA) has appointed Onyinyechi Anele, a lieutenant colonel, as acting director of army public relations.  She is the first woman to be appointed to the position. Markus Kangye, director of defence media operations, confirmed Anele’s appointment to newsmen. Anele will officially succeed Onyema Nwachukwu, a major general, on April 22. Prior to her appointment, Anele worked at the department of civil-military relations. She once served as the public relations officer in the office of the chief of army staff. Adebayo Adelabu, minister of power, has blamed the rot in the sector on the neglect of past administrations.
