The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) seized 10.8kg of illicit drugs and arrested 88 offenders in Lagos State in January 2023. Its spokesman in the Lagos State Command, Mr. Musa Mallum, stated on Monday that those arrested included 80 males and eight females. A Lagos Magistrates’ Court in Ogba has remanded a lecturer at the Lagos State University of Technology formerly (LASPOTECH) (names withheld) in the custody of Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling his 10-year-old daughter. He was also alleged to have been having carnal knowledge of the minor since 2018. The lecturer was arraigned on a two-count charge last Friday bordering on defilement and sexual assault by penetration before Magistrate Bola Osunsanmi.
