Commuters plying Iju Road in the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State have lamented the gridlock at Fagba Junction along the road, they blame LASTMA for negligence. A resident of Obawole, a community close to the junction, Tayo Ayowale, said men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority spent time subduing erring motorists and neglecting traffic control. Police hunt Rivers LG aides over attempted murder

The Rivers State Police Command has said its operatives smashed a child trafficking syndicate and arrested four suspects in Igwuruta and Omagwa, Obio/Akpor, and Ikwerre local government areas of the state. Also, the police said ten girls, most of whom are pregnant, including teenagers found in two of the locations raided, were rescued.
