Despite the Supreme Court ruling over old and new naira notes, commercial banks in some Federal Capital Territory (FCT) satellite towns had not yet begun accepting cash payments, leaving customers stranded and angry. During a four-day assault by alleged herdsmen who invaded some communities in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, at least 50 people are feared dead. Adam, Iyarinwa, Abamde Ityuluv, Waya Boagundu, Agura Ayaga, and Azege areas in Turan Council Ward, Kwande LGA, are among the affected communities. The Delta State Government has set a retirement age of 65 for all of its public schools, including polytechnics and colleges of education, for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
