A Federal High Court, Abuja has fixed Friday for the re-arraignment of Precious Chikwendu on allegations bordering on attempted murder of her former husband, Femi Fani-Kayode and children. Chikwendu, alongside others, will be re-arraigned by the police authorities before Justice Inyang Ekwo on 14-count charge. Justice Ekwo adjourned the matter shortly after the police prosecutor, John Ijagbemi, applied for the amended charge to be read to defendants for them to take their plea. Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State on Wednesday imposed a curfew on Gudum Hausawa community located in the outskirts of Bauchi metropolis. The action of the governor was communicated in a statement by Mr Mukhtar Gidado, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor. According to him, the move was sequel to a community clash where three persons lost their lives, many injured and houses were burnt. The Zamfara State Government has dethroned the Emir of Zurmi, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Emir of Dansadau, Alhaji Hussaini Umar, on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in banditry. The government also removed Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim, District Head of Birnin Tsaba, in Zurmi Local Government Area from office for a similar offence. A wire fraud suspect, Adedunmola Gbadegesin was on Monday April 26, 2022, extradited to the US where he is wanted in a case of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.
