Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has described late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, as a philosopher king who exuded great erudition and intellect. Osinbajo spoke during a condolence visit to the royal family, members of the Oyomesi and other chiefs on the death of the late Alaafin on Friday in Oyo, Oyo State. The Nigerian Army is set to deploy 197 troops for ECOWAS Peacekeeping Mission in The Gambia. Chief of Operations, Army Headquarters, Maj.-Gen. Olufemi Akinjobi, disclosed this on Thursday at the graduation ceremony of Nigerian Company 7 which will soon head for the tiny West African state.
