A wire fraud suspect, Adedunmola Gbadegesin was on Monday April 26, 2022, extradited to the US where he is wanted in a case of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. Benue court remands ex-BSIEC boss over fraud

The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday sentenced a former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Mrs Anastasia Daniel-Nwobia, to one year community service. Daniel-Nwobia who was convicted on April 7 was given the sentence over her role in the botched March 15, 2014 Nigeria Immigration Service recruitment tragedy where about 15 job seekers died in a stampede. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday began the distribution of over 33, 000 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to newly registered voters in the state.
