The Defence Headquarters says troops of Operation Delta Safe have discovered and destroyed 109 illegal refining sites and arrested 24 economic saboteurs within two weeks in the South-South region. The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, said this while briefing newsmen on the operations of the armed forces on Thursday in Abuja. Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court has sentenced a Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha, to 16 years imprisonment. Delivering the judgement on Thursday, Justice Taiwo said that the prosecution failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty of all the charges against him.
