The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its eight-month-old industrial action conditionally, a member of the union’s National Executive Committee said Friday morning. Chronicle NG reports that the eight-month ASUU strike commenced on 14 February, 2022. The union suspended its industrial action after a marathon meeting which began on Thursday night till the early morning of Friday. Shell Nigerian subsidiary is investigating reports that an illegal oil tap ran for nine years on a pipeline it operates, a spokesperson said on Wednesday.
