The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied invading the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) after the governor, Godwin Emefiele resumed from vacation. The state service in a terse statement described reports that it invaded the CBN as ‘fake news’, adding that, the reports were misleading. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says gunmen attacked its office in Enugu South Local Government Area (LGA) of Enugu state 39 days to the 2023 general elections.
