Nigeria's headline inflation rate eased to 22.97% relative to the April 2025 headline inflation rate of 23.71%

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday said Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased further to 22.97 per cent in its Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Inflation Report for May 2025. According to the report, the headline inflation showed a decrease of 0.74 per cent compared to the 23.71 per cent recorded in April 2025.
