Mohammed Adoke, a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, was given permission to travel to the United Arab Emirates on Friday by a Federal High Court in Abuja. Adoke is currently on trial alongside Aliyu Abubakar, a property developer, on claims of N300 million in money laundering. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has donated relief materials to the victims of the bombings in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Abbani Garki, NEMA’s North-West zonal coordinator, made this known in an interview on Friday in Kaduna. According to him, the donation is not compensation for the loss of lives but a token to bring relief to the victims. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned a businessman, Olaoluwa Oluwamide and his company, Ayomi Triumph Energy Limited before a special offences court in Ikeja, Lagos, for allegedly defrauding Sterling Bank Plc of $39,554. Oluwamide and his company are facing a count charge bordering on converting an erroneous transfer, preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Mr Oluwamide, however, pleaded not guilty. Sierra Leone police have summoned former president Ernest Bai Koroma for questioning as part of their investigation into a failed coup attempt on Nov. 26, information minister Chernor Bah said in a statement on Thursday. The Defence Headquarters says Nigerian troops have, in one week, apprehended 304 suspected terrorists and 152 suspected oil thieves and eliminated 80 terrorists in various operations across the country.
