The police command in Imo State said it launched an investigation into the murder of another legal practitioner, Garricks Anyanwu, killed by suspected gunmen a week ago. The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye, disclosed this during a telephone interview on Tuesday. Mr Okoye, who confirmed the incident, however, promised to make an official statement on completion of investigation on the matter. The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), Dr Olajide Idris has said the agency has begun investigating and responding to a strange illness identified in six wards in Sokoto State.
