Russian President, Vladimir Putin on Friday said the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the territories annexed by his country is a prerequisite for any settlement of the ongoing war. South Africa’s long-standing ruling ANC said on Thursday it has reached an agreement with several other parties to form a coalition government, after failing to win an outright majority in general elections in May. The Federal Capital Territory Police Command on Thursday paraded six suspects who specialise in registering Subscriber Identity Module cards with other innocent citizens’ identities and selling them to criminals. The suspects are Ndubuisi Okeh; John Jock; Nafiu Tijani (a dispatcher); Nasiru Sulaiman; John Njoku and Suleiman Musa. Addressing journalists while parading the suspects, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igwe, said the suspects sold the SIM cards to criminals between N3,000 and N5000. AC Milan have appointed Portuguese manager Paulo Fonseca as their new head coach on a three-year contract, replacing Stefano Pioli, the Serie A club announced on Thursday. The Delta State High Court sitting at Asaba on Tuesday sentenced Inspector Ubi Ebri of the Nigeria Police Force to death on a murder charge. The court presided over by Justice C. D. Diai convicted and sentenced the Inspector to death for killing a phone dealer, Mr Onyeka Ibeh, in Asaba. Veteran Nollywood actor, Dayo Adewunmi, popularly known as Sule Suebebe, is dead. The Yoruba actor died on Wednesday morning at an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. The news of his death was announced by a popular Ibadan-based cleric, Pastor Ademola Amusan, also known as Agbala Gabriel, who had been caring for the actor in recent months.
