Some gunmen have attacked the Ogbaru Local Government Secretariat in Anambra State. It was gathered that the hoodlums, who invaded the LGA secretariat in the early hours of Saturday, set no fewer than four patrol vehicles at the premises ablaze. The Oyo State Government has issued a call for more vigilance and the adoption of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of a potential cholera outbreak in the State. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi gave the charge during her visit to a private hospital in Ibadan where two suspected cholera cases were receiving treatment. Russian President, Vladimir Putin on Friday said the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the territories annexed by his country is a prerequisite for any settlement of the ongoing war. South Africa’s long-standing ruling ANC said on Thursday it has reached an agreement with several other parties to form a coalition government, after failing to win an outright majority in general elections in May.
