Ekiti local council chairman suspended over Governor Kayode Fayemi 2023 poster

Ekiti State House of Assembly has suspended the Ikere Local Government Chairman, Mr Femi Ayodele over alleged unauthorised presidential campaign posters for Governor Kayode Fayemi. Ayodele had sponsored campaign posters canvassing for Governor Fayemi to contest as a presidential candidate under the platform of the All Progressive Congress in 2023. The posters, which have become subject of political debates and innuendos on different platforms, shows Governor Fayemi clad in an adorable sky blue Agbada with a blue striped Awolowo cap. The Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has admitted the elections that produced Olumide Akpata as President were not perfect but cannot be cancelled “in the overall interest of the Bar”. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Thursday announced that the Nigerian power industry achieved all-time national peak of 5,420.30 megawatts.
