Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, have arrested 15 suspected internet fraudsters in the Lekki area of Lagos State. The suspects are: Sunday Okpe; Taiwo Adelagun; Obarakyo Tega; Fasuyi Oladapo; Mark Adedeji Kuju; Adelakun Kehinde Adewunmi; Temitope Gabriel Onore, Christopher Blessed and Aniche Ezenwa Francis. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal office on August 25 secured the conviction of BlueMalc Limited for illegally bringing a barge to lift adulterated Automotive Gas Oil in Nigeria without License. The barge, Nora 3, was arrested by men of the Nigerian Navy ‘’NNS Pathfinder ‘’ on 22nd April, 2020 around Agip Waterfront, in Rivers State with unspecified amount of suspected illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil. The Uyo zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday arraigned one Gabriel Chizoba Ikpenwa and his wife, Lillian Nkechi Ikpenwa before Justice Archibong Archibong of Akwa Ibom State High Court, Uyo, for fraud. Daily Trust newspaper has said it will hold former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode responsible if anything happens to their journalist, Eyo Charles, who was verbally assaulted. Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye on Tuesday claimed that pieces of evidence from reliable researches and reports showed that chloroquine can kill COVID-19 virus at the early stage. She stated that remdesivir, made by Gilead Sciences Inc, has also been shown to kill the virus at late stages.
