The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has advised the public to exercise caution in the consumption of alcoholic beverages that could have deteriorating effects on their health. The 188 official COVID-19 cases reported by Nigerian authorities on Friday, again one of the lowest in four months, dragged the total number of infections in the nation to 56,017 from the 55, 829 infections recorded on Thursday. Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) says flood had killed 16 persons, destroyed 3,042 houses and several farmlands in the state. Alhaji Shehu Ningi, the Permanent Secretary (PS) of SEMA told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Bauchi that 11 out of the 20 local government areas of the state were affected by the flood. “The affected local government areas include Shira, Dambam, Katagum, Jammare, Warji, Itas, Alkaleri, Bauchi, Zaki Kirfi and Gamawa,” he said.
