The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti state has suspended Senator Babafemi Ojudu and 10 others indefinitely for flouting directive of the party’s national executive. This is contained in a statement by Mr Ade Ajayi, the party’s State Publicity Secretary, made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday. Those suspended alongside Ojudu are Ayo Ajibade, Oyetunde Ojo, Femi Adeleye, Chief Akin Akomolafe and Bunmi Ogunleye. Justice Ladiran Akintola of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, on Thursday, September 24, 2020, committed four fraudsters to prison for obtaining money under false pretence. The convicts, Kushimoh Azeez Adeleke, Afolabi Olubukola, Kolawole Idowu and Olakunle Ishola were prosecuted by the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on amended one-count charge. A gas tanker exploded on Thursday in the Ifako-Ijaiye area of Lagos state with many persons sustaining burn injuries, the state emergency service has confirmed. Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident to Channels Television.
