The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 58 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Sunday. The 58 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 59,345. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 50 patients from isolation centers across the country with one new death reported. Plateau state recorded the most cases for the day with 18 positive cases announced by the NCDC. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has applauded the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu for banning the routine patrol of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) and other Tactical Squads of the Nigeria Police Force. Michael Nwoha, has been arrested for allegedly sod three under aged boys in Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
