Donald Trump has insisted he is not conceding the US election, despite seemingly acknowledging for the first time that Democrat Joe Biden won. “He won because the Election was Rigged,” the Republican president wrote on Twitter, repeating unsubstantiated claims of election fraud. A human rights lawyer, Ebikebuna Aluzu, has sued the Bayelsa State House of Assembly over the state’s debt profile. The plaintiff is praying the House to release information concerning the report of the state’s Auditor-General on the accounts for the year ended December 31, 2012 to December 31, 2019. The matter has been adjourned till December 21 for further mention. Conference of Igbo Youth Professionals Worldwide has called on the United Kingdom (UK) to revoke the citizenship of leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu. The group urged UK and Israel to restrain Kanu from taking advantage of his foreign citizenship to incite violence in Nigeria. Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State is set to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) this week, some sources have said. A source said the governor confirmed his defection during a meeting with stakeholders in his Uburu Ohaozara Local Government Area country home on Sunday. MOMAS Electricity Meters Manufacturing Company (MEMMCOL) is set to train over 300 unemployed youths on meter installation to complement the Presidential Mass Metering Initiative. MEMMCOL Chairman, Kola Balogun, an engineer, told reporters that the initiative was aimed at developing the country’s manpower capability as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He said the free metering installation training is for unemployed youths selected from the six geo-political zones.
