NDLEA intercepts drugs hidden in snails, others meant for UK, US, DRC

The Chairman, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), retired Brig. Gen Buba Marwa, says the agency will continue to crackdown on all sources of illicit substances in Nigeria. Marwa disclosed this on Friday during the inauguration of a Behavioural Action Care Foundation Centre in Ogbomodo. The Behavioural Centre was built by the Ogbomoso First Group, under its community initiative. “We, in the NDLEA, will continue to crackdown on all sources of illicit substances in the country. Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked the convoy of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom. The incident happened on Saturday at Tyo Mu along Makurdi/Gboko road in Makurdi Local Government Area of the state. Gunmen suspected to be Lakurawa terrorists have killed two officials of the Nigeria Customs Service in the Gendene community, Kebbi State.

No fewer than thirteen people have been killed and seven others injured by bandits during separate attacks in Zango Kataf, Chikun, and Kauru local government areas of Kaduna state.
