Umoren’s friend, Uduak Umoh, confirmed the development in a series of emotional posts on twitter saying; “they raped and killed my friend”. The Nigerian government has banned entry of passengers from three different countries. Chairman, Presidential steering committee (PSC) on COVID-19, SGF Boss Mustapha in a statement announced that those who visited Brazil, India and Turkey will be denied entry to Nigeria. However, this does not apply to those who transited through these countries. One police officer has been reportedly killed following an attack by gunmen on another police station in Ebonyi state. The gunmen attacked Abaomege Police Station in Onicha Local Government Area on Saturday night. One police officer was said to have been killed while another sustained gunshot injuries. The Lagos State Government is seeking to field two expert witnesses to debunk claims that it had a hand in the military’s alleged shooting and/or killing of #EndSARS’ protesters at the Lekki Tollgate Plaza last October 22. The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, has embarked on an indefinite strike over unpaid four months salaries of some members. Dr. Temitope Hussein, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Saturday in Ibadan, said the strike was to protest non-payment of January, February, March and April salaries of some members of the association. Gunmen suspected to be members of Eastern Security Network (ESN) on Saturday killed no fewer than two policemen in Akwa Ibom. According to reports, the hoodlums, who invaded Ikono Police Divisional Headquarters at Ibiaku Ntok Okpo around 3am, burnt down five police vehicles and also injured a policewoman on night duty. The Management of the University of Jos has directed the closure of all its students’ hostels over security threats to the school.
