Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to “urgently direct Mrs Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning to disclose spending details of the $700 million looted funds reportedly recovered by the Federal Government in the past four years, including the list and location of projects completed with the money, as well as details of the contractors that executed the projects.” SERAP also urged him to “direct Mrs Ahmed to disclose how the government plans to spend the returned £4.2m Ibori loot, including details of planned capital expenditure, and whether there is any plan…
By Olatunbosun Oladimeji If he has any shame, Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice should by now have issued a statement apologizing for his wanton display of primordial sentiment on an issue which has become a matter of life and death to many across the nation. For there is no other motivation, I can deduce beyond that of primordial sentiments given his clearly illogical reaction to the decision of Southern Governors to ban open grazing of animals within their territories as they agreed to after their recent meeting of Tuesday, May 11th in Asaba,…

Army chief of staff Attahiru was only appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari last January in a shakeup of the senior command to better fight surging violence and a more than decade-long jihadist insurgency. But the president,…

The Ondo Governor said no part of the entire state, known and delineated as Ondo State, would permit any gathering…
