The Queen will meet US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden next week, Buckingham Palace has said. The meeting at Windsor Castle on Sunday 13 June coincides with the end of Mr Biden’s visit to Britain for the G7 summit of leaders from the world’s biggest economies. The missions to Venus will take place between 2028 and 2030

NASA has announced that it is sending two new missions to Venus in order to examine the planet’s atmosphere and geological features. The missions, which have each been awarded $500m (£352m) in funding, are due to launch between 2028 and 2030. NASA administrator Bill Nelson said the missions would offer the “chance to investigate a planet we haven’t been to in more than 30 years”. Gunmen have hijacked a school bus belonging to Chimola Schools in Akure, Ondo State on Thursday morning. The incident reportedly took place at Oba Ile Estate, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State. Gunmen believed to be armed robbers, attacked banks and police stations in two Osun State towns on Wednesday killing policemen.
