The Nigerian Army has described as “dehumanising” a video of a female Nigerian Army officer, Lt. Chika Viola Anele, punishing a corp member, Ezeiruaku Ifeyinwa Fidelia. The Kaduna state police command has paraded three of the kidnappers who reportedly abducted over 100 students of Bethel Baptist school, Damishi, Chikun local government area of Kaduna State. The suspects were identified as: Adamu Bello, Isiaku Lawal and Muazu Abubakar. A 64-year-old man, Folorunsho Olayanju who falsely presented himself as a lawyer has been sentenced to five years in prison by a Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo. Olayanju who was charged with six counts of fraud, impersonation and stealing was convicted by the presiding judge, Justice Peter Lifu. According to the prosecutor, Muyiwa Ogunleye, the convict defrauded one Hammed Bamidele of N2,250,000.
