The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday the only approved vaccine against malaria should be widely given to African children, potentially marking a major advance against a disease that kills hundreds of thousands of people annually. The WHO recommendation is for RTS,S – or Mosquirix – a vaccine developed by British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline. Sport Club Sao Paulo player William Ribeiro attacked Rodrigo Crivellaro after he awarded a foul against him on Monday. Four persons including a child have been abducted by unidentified gunmen in Ekiti state. It was gathered that the victims were kidnapped at Ilasa Ekiti, Ekiti East Local Government Area of the state. Senate President Ahmad Lawan has said that the National Assembly would mount more pressure on revenue generating ministries, departments and agencies, MDAs, to ensure that they remit N1 trillion naira in revenues annually to enable the federal government fund its budget. Lawan stated this in his remarks after the chamber approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s submission of the revised 2022-2024 fiscal framework.
