The Federal Government says it requires N2.98 billion to curb the armyworm infestation of farmlands across the country. A Lagos State High Court sitting in Igbosere has issued a bench warrant against Sola Olumofe, one of the contractors who handled building constructions at Lekki Garden Estate Limited. A five-storey building within the estate had collapsed on March 10, 2016 killing over 30 people. Lagos government then dragged the estate’s Managing Director, Richard Nyong and five other contractors before Justice Sybil Nwaka over alleged negligence. People applying for US visas worldwide, will now have to fill a whole new questionnaire. Applicants would be asked for their social media handles for the last five years and biographical information going back 15 years. The new questions are part of President Donald Trump’s efforts, to tighten vetting of would-be visitors to the US. They were approved on May 23 by the Office of Management and Budget. Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has signed a new one-year deal with the Premier League club.
