Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has dismissed an allegation by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that he registered twice as a voter in Abuja and subsequently in Lokoja. Mr. Bello said this when he spoke to State House correspondents in Abuja on Friday after observing the two-raka’at Juma’at prayer at the Aso Rock Mosque. The Federal Government on Friday alerted the public to the outbreak of Avian Influenza or Bird flu in the FCT and seven states of the country. Dr Gideon Mshelbwala, the Director of Veterinary and Pest Control Services, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development raised the alert at a meeting with state Commissioners of Agriculture in Abuja on Friday. The two girls known simply by their first names Debbie and Grace graduated after completing junior year (11th grade) and senior year (12 grade) at a private school in the Washington metro area in America. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Plateau Command on Friday in Jos convicted 66 motorists for various road traffic offences. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the motorists were convicted by a Mobile Court set up by the FRSC. A 26-year-old girl in China has been charged to court for luring her father to bed and having sex with him because she didn’t like the woman he was engaged to. An elephant that attacked and killed nine people has been captured and sent off to undergo rehabilitation. The 40-year-old male elephant has attacked and trampled villagers for three years, leaving them terrified whenever it roams nearby.
