A top US Republican was among five people wounded in a “multiple shooting” during baseball practice in an upmarket Washington DC suburb. The Niger government has declared a state of emergency on federal roads following the collapse of two bridges in Tatabu and Bokani villages in Mokwa Local government areas. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the bridges are in Bokani village in Makera Tegina road and Tatabu village. The bridges which link the north with the west collapsed between June 4 and June 11 after heavy rainfall. The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has discharged Senate President Bukola Saraki, ruling that he had no case to answer in the 18-count charge of non-declaration of assets. The case was brought against Saraki him by the federal government, but the Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, on Wednesday upheld the no case submission filed by Saraki.
