Ijede town in Ikorodu community stood still yesterday as more than 500 youths renounced their membership of different cult groups and surrendered their weapons to the Lagos State police boss, Imohimi Edgal, who vowed to profile them and put them under close watch. Texas church gunman Devin Kelley was armed with three guns and had argued with his mother-in-law before the rampage, officials say. The attack on the small church outside San Antonio during Sunday services left 26 people dead and 20 injured. Kelley called his father after he was shot by an armed bystander and said he did not think he would survive. A drug dealer has been jailed after trying to fly drugs and mobile phones into HMP Pentonville with a drone. Charlie Adifiyi, 21, from Islington, attached 118 grams of cannabis, 71.7 grams of another psychoactive substance and two mobile phones to a drone before trying to send it over the prison wall. But it was intercepted by plain-clothed officers working on Operation Airborne, a unit dedicated to reducing the number of drones getting into the prison, and Adifiyi’s DNA was found on the device.
