The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, says there is no permanent solution to the fuel crisis in Nigeria, unless the Federal Government revamps its refineries. Kachikwu said this on Thursday in Abuja during a one-day public hearing of the National Assembly Joint Committees on Petroleum (Downstream), investigating the causes of recent fuel scarcity recorded across the country in December 2017. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Niger Command, said it had arrested one suspect and seized 31 kilogrammes of Indian Hemp in Kontagora Local Government Area of the state. The Nigerian army said on Thursday it rescued one of the kidnapped Chibok girls amid a wave of deadly Boko Haram kidnappings and bombings rocking the country’s northeast.
