The live show averaged 26.5 million total viewers, down from 32.9 million in 2017, according to Nielsen data reported by the ABC network, which broadcast the event. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen the bank accounts of Lagos State Government Number Plate Production Authority (LSGNPPA) over an alleged fraud of N3 billion. Justice Mohammed Idris of the Federal High Court in Lagos, gave the order following an ex parte application by the EFCC. Idris said the account would remain frozen pending the conclusion of EFCC’s investigation into the alleged N3 billion fraud. Addax Petroleum has been deliberately reducing its calculations of royalty to Nigeria

The Nigerian government has commenced legal action against the Chinese-owned oil firm, Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited, over the company’s alleged under-remittance of $3 billion in taxes and royalties. Court papers shows that the funds, according to the Federal Government, are outstanding claims against the company under the Petroleum Profit Tax Act and Petroleum (Drilling and Production) Amendment Regulation 2003 over Oil Mining Leases (OMLs) 123, 124, 126, and 137. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has accepted a Football Association charge over “wearing a political message, specifically a yellow ribbon”.
