The live show averaged 26.5 million total viewers, down from 32.9 million in 2017, according to Nielsen data reported by the ABC network, which broadcast the event. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen the bank accounts of Lagos State Government Number Plate Production Authority (LSGNPPA) over an alleged fraud of N3 billion. Justice Mohammed Idris of the Federal High Court in Lagos, gave the order following an ex parte application by the EFCC. Idris said the account would remain frozen pending the conclusion of EFCC’s investigation into the alleged N3 billion fraud. The order affected 32 bank accounts of companies which were allegedly used to divert the N3 billion from LSGNPPA. The Nigerian government has commenced legal action against the Chinese-owned oil firm, Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited, over the company’s alleged under-remittance of $3 billion in taxes and royalties. Court papers shows that the funds, according to the Federal Government, are outstanding claims against the company under the Petroleum Profit Tax Act and Petroleum (Drilling and Production) Amendment Regulation 2003 over Oil Mining Leases (OMLs) 123, 124, 126, and 137. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has accepted a Football Association charge over “wearing a political message, specifically a yellow ribbon”. Guardiola had until 18:00 GMT today to respond to a charge of breaching the FA’s kit and advertising regulations. In November, Guardiola said he wore the ribbon to support imprisoned politicians in his native Catalonia. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) says a huge number of Nigerian engineers will be used in overhauling of the nation’s three refineries. Dr Maikanti Baru disclosed this at the 2018 Technology and Innovation Expo in Abuja, organized by the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, on Monday in Abuja. Baru was represented by the NNPC Chief Operating Officer in charge of Refineries, Mr. Saidu Mohammed. President Muhammadu Buhari will visit violence-hit states in the northern region of Nigeria as well as pay a rare visit to the South south region.
