Manchester City could be prepared to share Etihad Stadium with arch-rivals United — if plans went ahead to redevelop Old Trafford. This season’s champions-elect were once described by former Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson as the “noisy neighbours”. But SunSport understands City would consider opening the Etihad doors if an approach was made by the Red Devils — although the rent is likely to be high. The clubs once shared City’s old home Maine Road for eight years after Stretford was bombed during the Second World War in 1941. United’s managing director Richard Arnold described plans to enlarge the…
Manchester City could still miss out on winning the Premier League title this season, says manager Pep Guardiola. Despite a 13-point lead over second-placed Manchester United with six games left, the Spaniard insists his side are still vulnerable and need to “focus”. There are 18 points to play for, and City travel to Tottenham on Saturday (19:45 BST) after a run of three straight defeats in all competitions. “In football it can happen, of course it can, I assure you,” Guardiola said. “Since November and December we have already been champions, when I saw pundits and people say: ‘Impossible for…

By Femi Adesina Since President Muhammadu Buhari met with the Archbishop of Canterbury in London on Wednesday, and spoke on the likely impact of gunmen trained by former Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, on the killings by herdsmen in Nigeria, some people have virtually flown off the handle, ululating as if wailing was going out of fashion. They twisted the meaning of Mr President’s words (yes, some people twist everything, even the words of God; 2 Peter:3, 15,16). They claimed he was blaming Gaddafi, long dead, for the killings in Nigeria. But let’s see the vacuousness and intellectual laziness in the…

In his ruling the presiding judge,…
