One person has been reportedly killed by bandits while his six family members were kidnapped on a farm at Labgeta community of Kogi State. The incident happened in the Labgeta neighbourhood, which is situated on the major Abuja-Lokoja expressway. Scientists in South Africa said Thursday they had detected a new Covid-19 variant with a large number of mutations, blaming it for a surge in infection numbers. A three-year-old girl has been kidnapped in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers. The girl was abducted from her house around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, just after her mother returned home after a church program.
