The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will collaborate with its sister organization in South Africa and indeed the regional Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa to ensure the issues of xenophobic attacks are brought to an end. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) says it will grow the domestic gas use in-country to five billion cubic feet of gas per day from its current 1.7 billion cubic feet of gas per day by 2022. An NGO, Nigeria for Justice, has frowned at the attacks on Nigerians in South Africa and called on the Federal Government to cut all ties with the  country if the situation persists. South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday said that at least 10 persons have been killed, two of them foreigners, in a wave of riots and attacks. The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Air Peace Airline will begin the evacuation of stranded Nigerians in South Africa as from September 6 following the recent attacks on them in that country. Former Head of Service in Lagos State, Alhaji Rafiu Tinubu is dead. Tinubu died in Abuja on Wednesday at the age of 75, after a brief illness. Ebonyi Government has petitioned President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector-General of Police (I-G) Abubakar Adamu, over the invasion of Gov. David Umahi’s Abuja residence by suspected police officers.
