The ICPC chairman, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, made the call when he led a management team of the commission to the Inspector-General of Police (I-G) Muhammed Adamu in Abuja. A Civil Society Organisation, Empowerment for Unemployed Youths Initiative has described the Federal Government’s decision to close the country’s borders as a strategic step to boost local manufacturing and steer economic activities. An $875 million Nigerian government lawsuit against US bank JPMorgan is clear to move forward after a London-based appeals court on Tuesday rejected the bank’s bid to have the case dismissed. Two officers of the Nigerian Police attached to the Rivers state command have been abducted by gunmen at Ngor, Headquarters of Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. A businesswoman has narrated to a Magistrate’s court in Ojo, Lagos State how she slept with her creditor to pay off a N1.1 million debt. Ejioma Ahibafu, 49, told court that she was taken to a hotel on three occasions where she slept with her creditor as part of the loan repayment. Ahibafu, a trader who sells bags of rice, pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing brought against her.
