The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) plans to shut down academic activities in universities in protest over the October deadline for employees of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to enroll in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information Systems (IPPIS). A yet-to-be-identified man of about 30 years who allegedly specialises in picking used diapers from dustbins was at the weekend nabbed in Umuahia, Abia State.
