Two sisters on Monday narrated before an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court how their middle-aged father allegedly defiled them at knife point in their home. NAN reports that the teenagers testified at the start of their father’s trial on a two-count charge of defilement. The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has stated that nothing critical to its operations was affected by the fire incident, which occurred at its headquarters on Saturday. The Service made this known in a statement signed by Wahab Gbadamosi, Head, Communications and Servicom Department in Abuja yesterday. Mr Gbadamosi said said the fire, which broke out at 5.10pm, affected the canteen located at Annex 1 of the headquarters where old and disused computers awaiting disposal are kept. Over 41,000 ghost workers are on the payroll of the Bauchi State Government, it was learnt at the weekend. Governor Bala Mohammed, who revealed this, said he uncovered the practice after his assumption of office five months ago.
