The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria said on Tuesday that it had not stopped the issuance of visas to Nigerians wishing to travel to China. Informal sector experts and tax administration officials from African countries are gathered in Abuja for a three-day conference to discuss how to address challenges arising from the informal sector in Africa. This was disclosed in a statement by the Forum. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office have arrested a suspected internet fraud kingpin, Onwuzuruike Kingsley Ikenna (a.k.a Nwanta Anayoeze Yonaracha). The suspect was arrested in his residence on Uzuakoli Road by Umuada Junction, Umuahia, Abia State on January 26, 2020, following intelligence on his alleged fraudulent internet activities. The Police from Ijora Badia, Area B Command, on Monday, arrested 24 suspects for blocking major roads in Ijora, Lagos following the recent ban of motorcycle (Okada) and tricycle (Keke) by the State Government. Three persons were on Monday morning feared killed during a violent clash between commercial cyclists and policemen in Ijora, Apapa, Lagos. Power Distribution Companies (DisCos) lack the capacity to meet the nation’s electricity needs, Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Managing Director Usman Mohammed has said.
