President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the suspension of the coordinator of Amnesty Programme following numerous allegations and petitions surrounding the Presidential Amnesty Programme, the National Security Adviser (NSA) set up a Caretaker Committee to look into the activities of the programme. The Italian confirmed to have been infected with coronavirus had also visited Ewekoro in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State this week. Nigeria has recorded the first case of the deadly coronavirus in its commercial city of Lagos, a statement by the state government said on Friday. The Ministry of Health in Lagos State confirmed COVID-19 and reported it to the Federal Ministry of Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, Commissioner for Health said.
