A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, Nigeria has appointed chief registrar of the court as provisional liquidator of a limited liability company Chicason Nigeria Limited. The chief registrar will take charge of all the identified/traceable assets and funds of the company in banks and other financial institutions pending the hearing and final determination of the winding up petition filed against the company. The Federal Ministry of Health has announced five new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria bringing the total number confirmed cases in Nigeria to eight. All five cases had a travel history to the United Kingdom and United States. The Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a travel ban on 13 countries in a bid to curb the spread of novel Covid-19 (coronavirus). The deadly coronavirus has now hit all 50 states in the US as West Virginia reported its first case of the infection on Tuesday.
