Forty-four suspected Boko Haram militants in Chad have died in detention from apparent poisoning, the country’s public prosecutor says. The men were part of a group of 58 suspects captured during a recent major army operation against the Islamist group around Lake Chad. Operation Lafiya Dole have foiled a combined attack by the Boko Haram and Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists on Buni Gari village in Gujba LGA, Yobe state. A Nigerian parish priest was forced to leave his post as the head of a parish in western Germany out of concerns for his safety, the parish and local church officials have announced.
