Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state on Thursday confirmed that four persons have so far died of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the state. The governor made the disclosure in Lafia at the review meeting of the state’s COVID-19 committee. According to the governor, the state unfortunately recorded four deaths including the member of the state assembly representing Nasarawa-West out of the 90 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state. The Edo State deputy governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has expressed confidence that Governor Godwin Obaseki would win any form of primary election in the state, even with just 24-hour notification. The Gambia has demanded a “credible” investigation after the son of a diplomat was shot dead by US police. Momodou Lamin Sisay, 39, was shot after a car chase in Georgia on Friday morning, according to the preliminary investigation by Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 348 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday. The 348 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 11166. A retired army officer in his 60s, Bassey Ekanem residing at 12 Edim Ibangaha Street, Big Qua Town has raped his four-year-old niece in Calabar, Cross River State.
