Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday presided over the Presidential Power Reform Working Group as he continues to find solutions to Nigeria’s lingering power problems. President Muhammadu Buhari had on 8 March appointed Prof. Osinbajo to head the Power Sector Reform Coordination Working Group. The composition of the group was to consolidate the efforts of the federal and state governments to fix the power sector. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 328 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Friday. The 328 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 11844. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 161 patients from isolation centers across the country with 10 new deaths reported. The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank has approved Nigeria’s Country Strategy Paper (CSP) 2020-2024, which builds on the successes and challenges of the 2013-2019 edition, and incorporates emerging developmental realities and opportunities shaping Nigeria’s political and economic landscape, including in the post-COVID-19 period. A store near the State House Chapel in the Presidential Villa was reportedly gutted by fire on Thursday, Chronicle NG reports. According to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the incident was a minor one although it required the attention of the Fire Service.
